It the holiday season!

I am so excited that Christmas is finally upon us!  The sights, sounds and smells all add to the sense of peace and joy that comes with the season.  The house is decorated and the shopping is mostly done!  I love it!  Of course, though I love everything about Christmas, from the crowds to the lights to the food, without our Savior, it wouldn't mean anything.  How grateful I am for His birth and what it means to the world.  I think it's wonderful that you can find Christmas in every aspect of the holiday if you look for it.  Yes, there is the commercialism that dominates so much of our society (and getting caught up in that makes you a modern-day Scrooge, in my opinion), but behind that there is the spirit of the season and a reminder of the true meaning of the holiday.  So bring on Santa and his perpetual cheer and his love of giving; bring on the shopping and finding something special for those who mean the most to you; bring on the giving to those with less than us in the hopes that their lives might be better because we gave a little bit of ourselves; bring on the trees and the tinsel and the lights and all that they represent; bring on the food and the thanksgiving that we have it and can share it.  Christ is in every part of Christmas, if we will only find Him there.  We wish a very Merry Christmas to all!
