Happy One Week Birthday Joshua!

As Joshua's mom said today, it has been the longest week - and yet the week has flown by! That statement doesn't seem to make sense.....but it really does to those who have had sick children in the hospital

Once again, today, Joshy seems to be taking in the world around him. He tries hard to stay awake, but his illnesses still take so much out of him. His mommy held him for a full 2 hours today, where he slept completely content. It wasn't until his mom had to lay him in bed to leave that he woke up (probably thinking, hey! I was comfy!). He decided once again to astound everyone around him, and by late morning the nurses switched him off of the HFNC to a regular, run of the mill, normal flow oxygen cannula! Can you believe it?! They also decided that he wasn't sick enough (hahaha) to have the open infant bed, and moved him into a tiny little crib! He also is up to 2 1/2 tsps. of milk every 3 hours instead of 4 hours. So much progress this baby makes!

I've decided that this little one must have something very important to do on this earth to fight so hard and win these terrible illnesses that came to him so quickly. I cannot wait to see what he does with his life!
