Who would of thought that there would be even more miracles on this Easter Sunday!!! Who can watch what is unfolding with baby Joshua and not believe in God or in His Son, or in miracles in our day and time??? Who can not believe in the blessings of fasting and prayer?? So many of you reading this fasted with us today....or even just prayed for Joshua today..... I will tell you now that it is because of the faith of those who care that I just received an wonderful phone call from Rachael (Joshy's mom).
At a little before 10 p.m. tonight, Rachael called me crying. I was instantly terrified, but there was no need to be.... She was crying because Joshua's daddy, Kris, who had taken a shift at the hospital for the evening, had just called her at home. He had baby Joshua in his arms!!! In a matter of a few short hours (which they said should take days), Joshua had gone down to a 1 on the C-pap, and they had switched him over to the Less-invasive HFNC (high flow nasal cannula). No more sedation...no more hats with chin straps to keep his mouth closed...no more swollen face....and BEST of all...time to be held!! He LOVED it!
When the nurse took off Joshua's little hat (that covers his eyes as well) - - He opened his eyes!! He was awake!! I am crying just thinking about it!! That precious baby with such a fighting spirit was ready to wake up and be held. What a remarkable day! How grateful I am to the Lord!
He still has much to fight off...but he has made more progress in one day than they said he would all week! Thank you to all of you for your faith and prayers!!
