EASTER
On this same day that our Savior rose again, we have seen miracle upon miracle in little Joshua's short life.... He is going to make it!! Our hearts are so full of love and gratitude that the words can scarcely be spoken.
The nurses and the respiratory therapist keep turning down Joshua's C-pap. He struggles for a short while, usually with his respiration's going up high and his little lungs start retracting, but then he all of a sudden will be okay. It is remarkable! Joshy has been at an 8 on the C-pap. The numbers go from 1 to 9 (with 9 meaning they must put him back on the ventilator). He has stayed at an 8 the for the last few days, as they just didn't want him to go back to that ventilator. As of last night, he went to a 6...as of this afternoon, he went down to a 4. The Dr. decided to just keep pushing him to see if he could get off of it (Joshua hates it so much). Now they say that if he can come down a little bit more, they will take him off of the C-pap and put him on the High Flow Nasal Cannula.... and the cool thing about that is, then his parents will be allowed to hold him for the first time since he was born!
