Lots of FUN!

- We started our busy but fun week with a carnival at Grandpa Wayne's. We had a yummy dinner of BBQ hamburgers and hot dogs and played lots of fun games where Kennedy and Matthew won enough tickets to "buy" stick ponies and named them "Kennedy" (very original) and "Seven", respectively. But the hit of the evening was this blow-up slide! It was hard to get them off! Thanks, Grandpa Wayne, for inviting us! It was lots of fun!

- On Tuesday, we met Aunt Jenny and Riser and Kayson at the zoo! We had a blast looking at all the animals and even all got new zoo hats to wear! We were excited to learn that a new baby elephant should be born in August and look forward to seeing him/her. Popsicles topped off the outing before going home for naps!

-Kris' truck has had some issues that are just not worth fixing (the cost to do so is more than the truck is worth), so we found a great deal online and bought him a scooter! We're already loving the 80 miles or so a gallon! It has already proven to be lots of fun and the kids love to take rides!

-Riser and Kayson came to play at our house for a few hours on Friday. Kennedy and Matthew sure loved having them here!

At 3 months, Joshua was proud to hold the flag high (with a little help from Grandma Kelly).

Kennedy has discovered she loves to pose for pictures. This is her "gangsta".
My favorite is Matthew's face. : )

Having lots of fun eating donuts and bagels with Aunt Millie!
-We ended the week with a fun-filled 4th of July! The day began with our annual Lundeberg family Murray parade and breakfast! (With five grandkids now--four of them being very active and mobile--we opted for bagels and donuts on the lawn waiting for the parade to start rather than the usual IHOP.) We had a great time! The kids made out like bandits, getting lots of candy. Next, we met up with Kris' friend, Ben, and his wife, Amy, and daughter, Hailey (whom we haven't seen since she was like 3 months old and is now 16 months and so big and cute!), at Murray park. We caught up a bit and let the kids jump in the big, blow-up bouncing...thing--had a blast. (Sorry, forgot to take pictures.) Then it was off to the Dean's for swimming (Kennedy and Matthew would have stayed all day at the pool if we let them!), BBQ and fireworks (Matthew is a HUGE fan. His favorites being the "spinning ones" and the "loud ones!") Sorry, but again, I forgot to take pictures. Thanks, everybody, for such a fun day! Happy Birthday, America!!!
