Moon Lake 2010!

Okay, so I don't need any comments from the peanut gallery (Kourtni!) on how long it's been since I've posted! hehe! : ) I would actually update more, but our hard drive crashed; of course, with all our pictures from the 4th of July! Which, just incase you're wondering, was a BLAST! Anyway, when we see if we can get our stuff recovered, I'll backtrack a bit, but in the meantime...

Every year, we get to go to Moon Lake in the high Uintas with my family! It is always so much fun! We love the time to get away and enjoy our awesome family and the great outdoors! Here are some photos of our fun-filled few days!

Welcome to Moon Lake Lodge!
Moon Lake!  Isn't it beautiful?!
Upon arriving at the lake, Kennedy immediately let us know of her concern about the local wildlife.  When she was asked not to yell, she asked, "Why?  Will the mean squirrels come and kill us?"  Do NOT ask me where she got that! : )  Kris made her this praying mantis monster to protect our cabin!
One of our squirrel visitors.  This one didn't seem too intent on doing us harm.  Apparently, we were being quiet enough!
Getting ready to go out on the boat to take those who wanted to out to "the Rock" to do some cliff diving!  (Don't worry, Kennedy and Matthew were just along for the ride!)  Matthew was excited that Papa let him help drive!  On a later trip (to pick up said cliff divers), Joshua was allowed to "help" too, but soon took over and had to be moved because he didn't want Papa to help him anymore--he could do it himself!
Kennedy and Matthew playing at the beach!  They loved getting in the water (despite it being quite chilly!) and making mud pots!
Joshua thoroughly enjoyed running through the trees and playing!  And he loved running from the terrifying Ken!
After a long afternoon of playing in the water and sun, Joshua crashed with Mimi for a few hours!
Roastin' some Starbursts (if you haven't tried it, you HAVE to!  Yummy!!) and some GINORMOUS 'mallows for some 'smores!
Joshua LOVED the fire-roasted Starbursts!  They were so good, he ate them right off the stick!

  2. That looks like a great place to go. We will have to see about going there! I loved the mantis, too. Oh, and I have never had roasted starbursts. We will have to try those out, too. :D Thanks for the update!
